Howdy, I have an old Ford 532 square baler. It may tie 4 to 10 bales and then the right knotter builds up knots in the bill hook and the twine breaks about 3 feet out. I have backed off the bill hook nut to relieve pressure. The wiper seems to be set right - touching the bill hook lightly about 5/8 of an inch from the end. The knife edge feels pretty sharp.
Any ideas? Thanks. I've got 40 acres cut, cured and raked.... I spent 5 hours today fighting the thing and have less than 100 bales under the barn! There are probably 700 - 800 bales left in the windrows and I'm spending my time climbing up and down every 5 or 10 bales.
