Ford 5000 won't steer to the left easily

I have a Ford 5000 that had hydraulic fluid coming out of the top of the steering wheel. We took it apart and replaced the seal inside that goes around the steering shaft. After we put it back together and added the fluid back it would turn to the right very well but turning back to the left was extremely difficult. Looking into the reservoir i also noticed lots of air bubbles in the fluid. Any advice as to what we may have reversed or put back together incorrectly?

It sounds like there is air in the system. You hopefully just need to bleed it. I would lift the front axle so the wheels are in the air, then start the tractor and turn the steering wheel left and right. Don't go all the way to the stop, but get as many turns in each direction as you can. Continue to add fluid to the reservoir as needed. Please report back with the results.

We ended up taking the steering box apart after making sure it was bled down of air in it and even though nothing was clear on what the problem actually was, our best guess was one of the bearings had come out of it's spot and was binding the worm gear. Put it back together(which was a pain getting the bearings in) but got it completed. Turns great now. Thanks for the feedback.
