I'm really in a pickle right now. i was all set to go and buy a ford 5000 and had a nice 10' howse mower picked out.. when we drive by the Nh dealership and see a 7810 in for trade.. 2 ys old... And then the wife sees a 12' batwing mower...
The smoke has started.. and the flames are getting higher. I wouldn't mind either setup.. but the 5000/10' setup is something I could easilly afford.. and pay off in a couple years. The 7810 and 12' mower onthe other hand would require me to also trade in my NH 1920, and then it would still be about 10k$ more than the other setup.. which kinda scares me. I know I'm good for the credit.. Ford credit already confirmed that...( scares me even more.. ).. but then that locks me in for another few years of payments... I hate being on long payment plans for stuff other than land...
While I'm happy to be mowing with something bigger than my 5' cutter ( especially since the wife intends to buy another parcel of land adjacent to our in a few years.. ) I don't see much difference in 10' to 12'.. as compaired from 5' to 10'.
And the scarriest part is the CFO has authorized the big$ purchase... ( even when I pointed out the high dollar figure for the mower and the tractor...)I'm not sure.. but I think this puts me in some kind of indentured servant category for..um.. eternity..
I need some reality advice here guys... (help!)
