replacing generator with delco 3 wire setup. after fabricating mounts I ran jumper wire from #2 spade to post on back of gen.then from post to top terminal on starter solenoid. #1 spade terminal was wired to idiot light on dash. started tractor and alternator ins charging 14.5 volts but idiot light stays on. three days later, starter motor is getting hot. did I miss something in the wiring or is starter heating not related to the wiring I did?
