Hi,
First time user here. I picked up an old 5000 with loader for our property, and just added a box blade to it. The thing lifts the box just fine, but it will not hold it in position. I think I have figured out the knobs and levers to set it in "position" vs "draft". I have knobs on the right side under the seat, one that pulls out and one that turns, what do these do? And a lever that says "position" and "draft". Pull up for position, push down for draft I believe. The beast is pretty beat up and seems to be a Franken-tractor with parts from many other tractors. Anyway, I can't get the arms to stay in place. They sag pretty quickly making it impossible to use the box.
I have read some others posts on this problem, but wondering if anyone has photos or video of taking the cover off and possibly set by steps of replacing the seals/parts that might fix this problem. I am pretty handy and rebuilt all the hydraulics and cylinders for the loader, I just need to know what I am look at/for. Or, if there is something I should do/test before ripping into the guts?
Thanks!!
Dan
