ford 420 loader not lifting fully up just fitted a new tilting ram as it was screwed when i bought the loader and all other rams are opening fully just the to lifting 1s they open about half way was thinking it was air but was wondering if it was air wat would be best way to bleed it thanks:thumbsup:

Check QD first if you have them.
Then cycle the loader about 5 times if you think there is air in the hyd system. It should self bleed.

its a ford 420 with permanent loader been laid up for a while only QDs are for bucket attachments all rams are working ok apart from two lifting rams only lift half way and stop as if they have come to end of ram
was thinking maybe blockage as rams come to sudden stop

I am assuming the fluid level is good.
You said no QD's, so there is nothing to stop the fluid from going to the cyl.
You also said the other cyl work fine, and that tells you that you have sufficient fluid.
Put a hyd pressure gage in the INPUT to the loader valve and tell me the pressure when you try and lift.
If the lift only goes half way and stops at full pressure, you have a mechanical problem.
Can you raise the tractor with the bucket on the ground and tilt the bucket down?
Try this, raise the loader and tilt the bucket down and then try to lower the bucket as far as you can.
If hyd are working good, you should be able to raise the front wheels off the ground using the lift cyl.
Do not go into float.
