Ford 4000 customization

Hi All....

About a year ago i purchased a 1973 Ford 4000 with about 1600 hours.....

I had a set of remotes with a spool placed on the right rear axle coming from the front end loader pump...presumably..18 GPM?... and new front tires and seat.

A set of remotes was placed under the seat and was told that they might be in the 5 GPM range ?........

I then welded up a canopy with a 1/8 inch steel roof with bracing that is attached to the FEL where the headlights were.

Two metal Ammo boxes were added...one behind the seat and one on the left fender. The seat box has a hammer, pins etc. to attach 3 pt hitch implements. The box on the left fender has several chains. The factory tool box on the right fender has a few wrenches, pliers etc.

The right rear arm of the ROP canopy has a round tube and a square tube that I welded on to carry a pinch bar and a shovel.

The pinch bar is very handy when adding an implement.

The right post of the industrial loader has a scabbard to carry a chainsaw.

All of this saves a bunch of trips back to the house.

Nothing like the old Ford 800 & 4000 gas series tractors. Parts are reasonable and they keep on running with a little care. I have my dad's Ford 801 12 speed that he bought used in 1972. I just had a clutch put in it last year finally for the 1st time. I think it's a 1959 model.
