I have a 1986 Ford 3910 with the single pump hydraulic system. Currently the tractor has an open-centre FEL connected to the selector valve under the seat and has NO remotes. I want to add a single spool remote control valve to run some double-acting hydraulic actuators on some implements, for occasional use. I understand that there is a Power Beyond adaptor plate (Tisco HV5902) for this model of tractor, and I've read through the other threads on this site regarding the installation. I haven't found a good drawing of exactly where in the system the HV5902 taps off the hydraulic system to fully understand if my plan will work.
What I can't figure out is whether I can mount the original selector valve on top of this PB plate. The installs I found all had a different blanking plate on top. Does anyone on here know if the selector valve mounts up properly to the top of the PB plate to allow me to connect my open-centre remote valve there? I would like to connect my FEL (which has a PB port available) to the HV5902 PB plate, and connect my remote valve to the outlet of the selector valve. That way with the valve in the back position, I have FEL and 3-point hitch together and in the forward position I have my remote valve (if my understanding is correct).
Any advice or input anyone might have for me on this modification would be great.
Thanks,
Brad
