Ford 3400 & 4400 diesel generator voltage output at battery. NOT battery's voltage!
I'm having trouble getting a good voltage output when checking with a meter at battery terminals. Have checked with 3 voltage meters! Am only getting readings in the 12.49V to 12.73V range regardless of RPMs on my 4400 Ford Diesel. Getting less than 12V on the 3400 Diesel which has a brand new battery in it. So I'm assuming that
I'm simply reading the battery's voltage and that I'm not getting any output/charge from the generator. The generator will "motor" when jumped from positive battery terminal to armature lead on generator, with belt removed. Help! Previous post Tuesday/Wednesday lost? Thanks
