Ford 3000 - What is it? Picture

Hey all-
Someone up in the general forum suggested I post this here. I am having a hard time figuring out what lever is in the picture. The guys up in the general forum seemed to think it was a transmission brake? Can anyone confirm? I've never seen one before.

Anyone know where I can get parts to repair?

it is the parking break system made for the polish market

yep.. overseas parking brake..

cnh might have parts listings for it... think I've seen them..

you can unbolt it if it is in the way and put a plate over the whole. that is what i do to most of the ones i get into my shop

The guys in the general forum were correct. It is a transmission brake. The European handbrake/parking brake is a different design, also has a pawl.

the european hand brake is on the other side. but this is the parking brake made for the tractors going to the polish market if it aint then what is it

It's not a parking brake, it's a handbrake. It's listed for all tractors, not just Europe. I've seen them on 3 cyl tractors, all the way up to the 4500's

i think you are really splitting a hair there.

what's the big deal about the name. so it's a transmission hand brake.

the CNH website has a parts breakdown for it.. if ya need parts.. check the #'s and then start paying for parts.. right?

Well folks I personally know from experience that its infact The Make the paint on the plate below it smell funny lever. We had a new hand that knew every thing get on it and drive way out to the end of the land fill. He drove all the way back with it engaged saying the bushhog wouldnt come on lol. The tractor stunk of burnt paint, and you could feel the heat comming offf it afew inches away.
