Ford 3000 hydraulic Issues

I have been fighting the hydraulics on a Ford 3000 71 model gas for several years. I make a small fix and things work for a bit, but then fail a short time later. The 3 point will not raise at all now...

The hydraulic pump does move fluid, at least from the bleeder screw on the pump. Upon hooking up a guage, it does not register any pressure. I'm told the pump needs to be replaced, but that I should replace a bunch of other valves or the new pump may fail instanly upon startup.

I see rebuild kits available. How hard is this task? Any special tools required?

Should I plan on replacing a all the saftey valves, control valves, check valves as part of this?

somewhere on that machine should be a pre screen before the filter its problably plugged.

There is a screen on the end of the pick up line that becomes clogged.

if the unload valve is stuck, thus bypassing the fluid to the sump.. you won't show any ( or much) pressure... it's an open center system.

I'd pull the top cover and see if the unloader valve is stuck.. while not a super common problem.. it's not rare either...

rebuilding the pump BEFORE looking at this is cart ahead of the wagon IMHO

When trying to measure pressure, did you have a load on the 3pt? If not, the pressure will be low or nothing, as the fluid is just going to tank. Did you hold the 3pt lever up to the max, and did the relief sound off?
