ford 3000,case SI..Just purchased a 404 Futon (40 hp 4wd) with a koyker FEL
I have a ford 3000 with a Allied FEL....My problem is thusly...The return hyd lines on the loader constantly pulsate...I was haveing also a problem if the 3pt was raised the loader would operate very slowley or pulsate (trying to raise when lowering or trying to lower while raiseing)...by dropping the 3pt to the lowered position seemed to fix the problem...somewhat....while useing the 3pt to auger some posts the 3pt would not raise..( there would be pressure on the lever when you tried to raise the 3pt...)....If the motor was turned off...went and had a cold one ...then restarted motor the 3pt would raise normaly...for a while then would build up pressure again???I have changed hyd oil and replaced with Ford hyd/p.s hyd oil....still the same. now the 3pt raises very slowley or not at all???..remover a mebe 6" round cover on the left in line with the seat and looked in side...noticed a 1/2" line that seemed to have been brazed for some reason or other. This problem has persisted since I bought the 3000....Sorry for the lenghty post but i`m at wits ends..book says something about a hyd filter, but states that 3pt has to be removed to access it...would appreciate any and all imputs about my delima..hate to haul it to New Holland as it could be more than the tractor is worth to repair...thanks again Sid

Best thing you could do is send a PM to Soundguy. He has a lot of experience with them Ford tractors. Typically he picks up but maybe he has not been around for a while.

Just a wild guess....not having experienced this before....but sounds almost like you have air / vapour spaces in your hydraulic lines. Don't have the experience but maybe others like Soundguy will chime in.

Sorry to hear that you are having hydraulic problems. Reading the symptoms you gave on the post, I would look for low hydraulic oil, pinched or kinked hydraulic line, a dirty hydraulic filter or a blockage of some sort in one of the hydraulic line(s). Go for the obvious first and fix what you know is not right and start with that hydraulic filter.
Hope that helps you out.
