87 model Ford 2810 with 7410 loader. 3 Point still works fine. Have already replaced filter and checked fluid level. Loader lift has gotten slower each time I use it for past 5 times or so and now has almost stopped lifting and rolling in. It still drops and rolls out/dumps. When I replaced filter I found a chewed up 1 inch long piece of red rubber about the size of a worm. Figured it was an o-ring from somewhere. But where. Should I just dive into the joystick?

Thanks

There is nothing inside the FEL valve block that you can make better. The tolerances between the spools and their bore is around 0.0002"

Your first and most important challenge is to figure out the hydraulic circuits. For example does your FEL valve have 6 or 7 hoses? If 7 then it has a power beyond feature.

Tell us about the history of your tractor. Have you had it for decades and this current problem never happened before? Have you replaced any hoses. Do you have power steering? Is there more than one hydraulic pump/

6 hoses, 2 are the supply and the return from rear remotes, 2 are feed and return to loader lift, and 2 are feed and return to loader curl/dump. I have owned it since 2000 when I bought from a company I used to work and helped select it for the same company in 1987 when we bought it new. The manual says it only has one hydraulic pump plus the steering pump for power steering. It has never done this before. I replaced an 18 inch old hose last week with a new one. But it was getting worse before I replaced it. I replaced the hose because ranch life is tough on exposed hoses and I prefer not to wait until they blow and lose equipment time.

If the 3 point will still lift an implement, you still have good pressure. The piece of O ring must be from a loader cylinder would be my guess.

Could you please post a couple of photos. Rear remotes, overall tractor and FEL valve. I am trying to understand what you mean by saying the supply and return are from the rear remotes.
