Ford 2120 a good buy?

Talked to a guy about a 1988 2120 4wd with FEL and a ballast boc with 2200 hours for about 12,000, is this a good buy it seems like the ford is much heavier than the other models in that HP range.

Without seeing the condition I have a gut feeling thats a little bit high but I haven't priced a 2120 in a while. I saw a great 1920 sell with loader, 800 hours and new tires for $8500 over the summer on craigslist. I didn't need another so I didn't inquire about it but I would think the 2120 with those hours and age would be closer to the $10k range at most.

That is about full blown retail on that tractor it is worth it by it is on the high end of things most bring from 9k-13k

thats a great machine for sure. 9-10k ought to buy it with 2200 hrs.

About 11,000 is as low as he will go (maybe 10,500) the tractor has always been sheded and no leaky seals and the loader is like new as the school that had it before him basicaly just mowed with it. A little too small for his as he stacks round bales four high and wont lift them up far enough other wise he would not sell it. Has turf tires (new on front) so will have to change them evently. Seems like good tractor and it is much heavier than the newer 40 horse tractors of other brands so do not think traction will be a problem.
