Hi everyone,

I am just asking for any and all information anyone has on a ford 2000.

Production Code: 8L4
Serial Number: B859647

I know what the model code and production code tells you, but what about the serial number?

Also, anyone know any good spare parts shops for it???

I'll be very grateful for any info.

The B in the serial number indicates it was made at the Basildon England (U.K.) factory....if it had a C it would mean it was built in the U.S. The rest of the number is just that. I've seen the serial numbers by year for the U.S. made 2000s, but not the U.K. built models, but one of the experts might know more.

There are a lot of places that sell parts for your 2000, so that helps. In the past I've bought from the three below, and a few others I can't think of now (sold my Ford). What I frequently did was use these places as a guide, get the part number and then Google it. I actually bought stuff off Ebay and Amazon following that pattern, and the parts were identical. Sometimes the prices were the same, sometimes they varied significantly, so it's worth shopping around.
