Hello All,
New here to the forum. I have had one tractor most of my life a 1988 Ford 1920 4wd with bush hog loader that I used at 12 years old to mow a 10 acre piece of land and i am now 30. I have redone the tractor twice full paint stripped down to just the cast iron chassis and housings. Replaced the twin disk clutch it it and put a new shuttle shift gear on the reverse side. I am currently in the process of purchasing my first tractor as my last was a hand me down. I went with the Deere 4320 because i did not want the new model and emissions equipment. i went with OOS, R4, ElectroHyd 3rd, H180 with self leveling bucket:thumbsup: and a new frontier box blade because i recently bought an 1810 Farm house with 35 acres and will use this to maintain the property.
The Ford 1920 is a fine machine but its relatively low HP and PTO HP limits it performing some digging and grading tasks. I looked at NH but was not particularly impressed along with the low resale values that seem to emerge.
One thing i am not sure of is how some old implements i have will hold up to the new tractor and its PTO HP. I have a Woods RM3720 finishing mower, Ford 951B Brush hog, York rake, and 72 inch Mott mower. time will tell
So hello everyone
