Ford 1900 with 771 loader question

Hello,

I have an 81-82 Ford 1900 that is new to me as are tractors. I have been working through doing all the scheduled maintenance and having fun learning. One thing I noticed is I can lift the front with the loader if I rotate the bucket, but if I raise the bucket a try using the loader cylinders it won't lift it back up. I also noticed while trying to do this the 3 pt wants to go down. I have tried putting the 3pt up and down as I read it needs to be in neutral?? to no effect. It does have a slight leak in the left cylinder as well, could this be the issue? Or are these just SA cylinders?

First, your Ford was made by Shibaru. Ford rebranded many small models as their tractor.

Spec's on your loader:

If your hydraulic cylinders have two hoses on each one., they are double acting. It would be unusual for them not to be double acting n a factory made loader.
It is not unusual for a loader to be able to lift the front end using the bucket whereas it cannot do so using the loader arms. It is just a matter of geometry of the cylinders and where they apply forces.

Not certain why the 3 pt is moving when the loader is.

my 1979 ford 1900 will not lift the front with the loader arms but will easily do it with the bucket curl. Its always been that way, like mentioned above its just not a strong angle for the lift arms. not sure about 3 point.
