I think that seems like a "fair" price given the lower hours, the snowblower, and all the other attachments. Overall condition is always a factor as well as the lifelong maintenance it has had. It is hard to tell from the photo but from a distance, it appears to be in good shape. Another indicator of what is a fair asking price is to go to Tractorhouse.com and look for the Ford 1720's under the "under 40hp" category. They usually have anywhere from 10-15 units for sale at any one time - both 2wd and 4wd drive. You can usually assess by the pictures what kind of wear and tear it has had and I have used that source often to get a range of fair market values.
I assume the one you are looking at is 4wd. If it truly is in excellent shape then I would try to make a purchasing decision without too much delay as it will be gone quickly. These are great little tractors and very popular for their age and size. I have a 1989 Ford 1720 that just turned 3300 hours and it still runs great. It is 4wd, with a loader and a 3pt snowblower. Depending on what you need, they are a very handy tractor given their size, manuverability, and features. So far, parts have not been an issue either. I have found everything at my local New Holland dealer. Good luck and let us know if you end up buying it!
