Ford 1715 Tach Issues

My Father In-Law has TWO Ford 1715 tractors and both have Tachs with inop hour meters. RPM part of tach works fine on both. Any suggestions on where to get two, and/or get them repaired... and cost.

:welcome: to the forum. Have you tried New Holland? No scratch that they show "not available" as per usual. Here's one $75 NEW-HOLLAND, 1220, Instrument-Panel, Sub-Component, TACHOMETER, SBA385450360 at Wengers Of Myerstown
For these tractors I use the NH parts look up site to get the SBA number, then do a google search on the SBA number.

I had the same problem with mine a few years ago and researched rebuilding the tack and found there is a small plastic gear that wears out and is not a very available part.
If the gear was available the cost to rebuild would be about the same as new and at the time I paid about $150 for new and that included the shipping.
I tried taking mine apart and it was impossible to do so with out some damage to the case.
The SBA part # FAWKEN shows is the same # that I used to replace mine.
