FORD 1700 SHifter detent springs on ball bearings

I replaced my shifter assembly due to a broken shifter. The knob broke off. When I removed the assembly the detent springs fell out and I didn't realize it until later. I bought 4 new springs and the drawings on messicks showed 4 of the exact same springs. I drained the fluid and found 4 springs but one was inside another. It is much smaller in diameter. So am I still missing a spring? Where does the 4th small spring go?

Thanks, I'm just learning to navigate this forum. I found the post you linked but didn't realize I was on page 2 and there was a page 1. I appreciate the help.
