When I removed the 770 loader to fix the tractor frame on the 1700, I disconnected one hydro line from control valve and one from the tractor and looped each of them back to close the loop. Then moved the control valve bracket to the lift arm and pulled the (4) pins to remove the bulk of it as one unit. Would quick connects on the supply and return lines cause any loader performance problems? I'd like to go with quick connects and a re-do of the control valve bracket and add a couple pieces of square tubing up front for support legs so the loader can be removed and installed a bit easier.

Any input (pros and cons) would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have a 2wd 1700, no loader though...
I'm no hydro expert, but can't see how adding QC's sized right for the line could cause any performance problem.

You could ask this question in the Hydraulics section, to get more replies.

I did that on my 1700. Worked good. I recomend using colored tie straps to coordinate the hoses when you need to put it back on.

I uploaded a picture, but you can barely see it on the right side.

It makes the hoses stick up higher. You may need longer hoses or 45deg elbows on the hoses. My steel tubes were bent up some for some reason, so it actually worked out for me.
