My 1510 seat has seen better days. A couple of years ago I installed a new seat and cushion, but the underlying assembly has been getting rickety as tolerances pound out, and parts fail. Early, after getting the tractor, I found that I needed to lower the seat, so that it wouldn't slam to the bottom on bumps. Now, the scissors device is getting rusted, the plate that the seat rests on has cracks in it, the springs have fallen off (fortunately I found them) and numerous other complaints.
Has anyone addressed their seat mechanisms, and what has worked for you?
BTW, I tried attaching a hydraulically damped seat, but there is simply not enough room to do so, on that tractor, which will work for me (tall, long legs).
