HI .I have a ford 1300 with a ford front loader. The hydralics slowly went away to the point it will barely pick up the bucket to move the tractor.I went through the search ,checked the filter changed the fluid.Had the pump taken apart at a hydraulic shop.(was told it looked like new).nothing changed. It starts out bad and as it warms up it gets worse. This last time I drained it to check the metal filter again the last of the fluid to drain out was foamy.I checked for air leaks on the intake side and could not find any.I was told that I might have to get a flow meter and check the system that way? Any sugestions would help. Thanks

Flow meter?what type? in line? flow with residual pressure measurement? I took a quick look at the NH site and did not see a screen in the diffy for your hyd pump. If you have a screen in the diffy where banjo connection is then it might be plugged. Same situation happened to me as well. Frothy pump discharge is almost alway indication of pump cavitation, same as choking the pump on intake rather than discharge. All fluid is returned to diffy and due to it's large volume hyd fluid tends to slow down and settle which causes impurity to settle down on the of bottom diffy housing causing suction flow issue to the pump. look at the link below, that might give you some ideas. On my diffy I picked up one quart and some curd looking snut that blocked my suction line.
