I have a ford 1220 tractor. I cant find out what catagory hitch it has. I am considering a 3pt log splitter from Tractor Supply. I spoke to the sales guy and he said it would work. I also went to my local new holland who also had a model tha the said would work as well. Neither seemed like they knew what they were talking about and seemed like reading a sales pitch.

Anybody have any experience with 3py log splitters?

Shoud've asked the NH dealer while you were there. Anyway, Cat I uses 7/8" hitch pins, Cat 0 is 3/4" so you can just measure what you have. Cheers.

What is the flow in GPM, and the pressure. Then you need to know the cylinder size, and shaft size, and length of the splitting rail.

With the flow the 1220 has the splitter is going to be slow.
