Hello, I sure hope someone can help me this problem, it is driving me crazy and Im not wrapped to tight to begin with. I used my tractor on Monday it has a front end loader and I was moving brush around with it. It was not operating slowly at all. The front end loader was working great. I parked it for a day and Wednesday I started it up to do some work and I didn't have any hydraulics , not on the bucket , not on the three point . I checked the transmission fluid it was full. So I decided to clean the hydraulic filter. It is a metal mesh one that sits on top of the gear pump. It wasn't really too dirty but I cleaned it . There was no hydraulic fluid in it at all when I took it off. I don't know if that is normal or not. After I reinstalled it , I still had no functioning hydraulic . So I thought the low pressure pipe might be plugged but it had fluid in it. So my next step was to take the filter off again , start the tractor and see if the gears where turning in the pump. They were so I put the filter back on again. Again no luck. I am not a mechanic and where I live in Texas there aren't too many around. Anyhelp would be very much appreciated. Do you think the gear pump went out or should I look at something else? Thanks Larry

Could a piece of brush got hung up under the tractor and did something? If not, the hydraulic pump may have quit.

Are you sure the loader runs off the tractors hydraulic pump? Or, does it have a pump that runs off the front of the engine? Does the 3ph work or any rear remotes? Which way is the filter mounted, up or down?

Im sure that the pump runs the loader, the high pressure hose goes over to the controls for the loader and one comes off those controls and goes to the 3ph. The pump is located on the front of the engine and nothing works not the loader or the 3ph. I took the high pressure hose off that goes to the controls and there is a little pressure when the engine is running but if you put your finger over the hose you can easily hold the pressure back. I would think its supposed to have more pressure than that, but again Im not familiar with any of this stuff. Thanks for writing back , Im starting to think maybe the pump is bad.

If the pump is mounted to front of engine make sure coupler is good and for instance key is sheared or splines worn out letting pump slip just a thought.
