The Thumbhole stocks can be easily replaced although I haven't bothered. The safey is the standard AK 47 type that, as you stealthily sneak up behind the enemy...flicking the safety....CLICK!
The only difference is the "real" AK safety has three positions whereas these have a two position safety. Both types are rather loud though.
One of these days, I'll convert one of them to an AK stock.

my friend had one. it is the war wehrmacht BMW coppied with russian "quality"

If you want a toy, this will keep you occupied forever just to keep it running.

A friend of mine at work has one, although I dont think the fuel mileage is that great ! The two wheel drive is great in the snow !

Yep, my buddy at work has a URAL and met another fellow that has a 1939 BMW with the side car and mounted on the side car has a machinegun guess its been disabled but can you imagine driving down the road and seeing that thing, especially if the guy was wearing gestapo hat !

A guy just up the road from me has a Nova Scotia dealership. He has a couple out on display camo types. They do look kind of kool, but I wonder about the reliability. If they are anything like the Belarus tractor you probably don't want one. You know what they say about Belarus.....Once you own one, you always will. Because you will never find anyone to sell it to
