Foot throttle on CK25 HST

Just completed something different. Little odd to get used to but something I have been wanting for a while. So here it is. All home built parts with a bicycle
brake cable. Works very well.

It works very well. I used a cheap cable first but it was creating too much friction. Replaced the cable with a quality stainless steel one with a plastic liner in the core and it works excellent.

Excellent Work !!!, but what are you planning on using it for? Varying the rpm's into a hydrostatic transmission under load may not be a good idea. The charge pump in the CK Tractors needs about 2000 rpm to feed a loaded HST.

I would like it for loader work. That way you can run it at 2000-2200rpms and then when you drive into the pile of dirt you can hit the foot throttle to bring it up to 2700-2800rpms just while digging and then let off as you back up. Since your hands are busy on the loader joystick and steering wheel the foot pedal would work nicely.

Does it work like this...?

But again...very nice work.

The intension was mostly for plowing snow. I have a 400 ft. driveway. I usually push the snow going down hill at about 2000 rpm. I stop and shift into high range to back up. Now I can leave my rpm set to 2000 but step on the pedal to back up at 2600 rpm. I have found it useful for other things like driving along on a road with rough sections. I can slow down for the bad spots and speedup again with the pedal while leaving my right foot to the floor. It just feels better driving slow at 1500 rpm than at 2600 rpm.
