Did it get weak before it died or just suddenly quit? Have you changed the fuel filter?

OK I did the air bleed at the filter and the injector pump. Lots of fuel at the filter strong dripping at the injector pump bolt head. Seat kill switch jumper looks good.

I posted yesterday that it stumbled a few times earlier in the week, today it stumbled and died. How much fuel comes from the injector bolt head when loosened , with switch on?

No on fuel filter but if I am getting fuel at the injector pump am I not past the filter?

Recheck the seat switch jumper. That's what usually causes it to stall and not start. May have some corrosion on the terminals. If it was running when it stalled you shouldn't need glow plugs for it to start back up. Sounds like an open electrical circuit. Do you need to have the clutch depressed to start it? if so, check underneath by clutch for another switch. Perhaps a branch got up in there and pulled a wire off that switch.

HST Trans but I will check switches. I have a Digital meter, is there some where I can check to ascertain its not electrical? Do you agree if I get a heavy drip from the injector pump I probably have fuel? Do you still loosen injectors to air bleed. I do it on marine engines.

I would bleed at the injectors. I don't know how much fuel you would have at the pump bolt head. Anytime I ran out of fuel and had to bleed I just bled at the filter and then at the injectors. I only did that a couple times and learned to refill the tank if it was down to 1/4 tank.
A stumbling condition could indicate some moisture (water) got in the fuel tank or some electrical safety switch is starting to go bad.

I just re read the other posts and noticed you did not change the fuel filter. When was it changed last? A partially plugged filter will also cause stumble.

George George we have a winner. I went to the injectors and zero fuel. I pulled the filter on my 64 hour machine and look what I found. IMAG0123.jpg

Its rust colored blobs, water I guess. Now I need a new filter. I need to drain the 5 gallons of fuel out of the tank. I will put it the old plastic gas can and get a new one and go to a new place for diesel.

Is there a generic cross match for the filter Part # 40006957. TSC may be my closest parts place in Alamogordo NM.

Can't answer the fuel filter generic #. I think a list was posted once for LS tractor filter cross references. I looked in the LS thread. a lot of LS models use a 40006997, I don't see a 40006957 listed. Maybe another 3033 member has a list. My tractor is too new for any generic #s. The XR's have only been out since 2013. It takes a few years for the aftermarket to catch up. You can also add a supplement to the fuel to displace moisture. Most auto parts and truck stops sell it.

Update, another member posted a site that shows the G3033 and 3038 models use the 40006997 which crosses to
NAPA 3128, WIX 33128, or Bosch 3310

So, how did you make out. Did you replace the filter.

Thanks to your and others help I am up and running. I was traveling last week after the fix and just got home. The filter # is the 40006957 and that cross matches to the WIX 33128 which the local parts store was able to get the next day. I drained out a quart of fuel and saw no water so I added Diesel 911 to the tank and filter, screwed it on and on the second try it fired up cleanly. I did not have to bleed the injectors but did top off the filter before installing and primed it.

I ran most of the tank though the engine in the next 2 days so I think the water in the tank is gone. Thanks again. My first fix.
