I've recently purchased a CUT with a FEL. Hydraulic fluid is milky. When I change the fluid & filter, how do I get the milky fluid left in the cylinders out:confused:?

Block up the FEL lift arms for safety, then neutralize pressure in the system by moving the control lever(s) back and forth. Then disconnect the hoses, remove the cylinder, lay it with the ports down and most of the oil will drain out. You probably won't have enough left in them to worry about.

Alternatively, if you have an overhead power source (even a block & tackle) you could use it to support bucket, then cycle the cylinders once you disconnect the hoses.

However you decide to proceed, opt for safety. Keep the weight of the equipment adequately supported and stay out from under any of it.

I would just make sure the cylinders are all retracted, then change the fluid-you will have to probably change it at least twice anyway to flush all the bad stuff out...But first you need to identify the source of the water leak.

Thanks y'all:):)

The PO didn't keep it inside or even covered from what it looked like when purchased. I've serviced all of the engine & fuel. Re-cored the rad, and flushed the cooling system. The hydraulics are next on my list.
