<font color="blue">Folks,
Was going to post this in the 'Oil, Fuel, & Lubricants" section, but wanted to get some NH specific advice...
First, I'm wondering whether it's imperative that I use the NH brand fluids, particularly the hydraulic fluids. Sam's Club has a 5 gal bucket of HD Hydraulic Fluid at a very attractive price, and it says it's good for lots of tractors... but you never know... so I thought I'd come to the font of wisdom and drink again from the fountain of knowledge that is TBN <grin>...
The other thing that I heard is that you could use #2 heating oil in place of diesel fuel. I know that in the Marines, we had "Multi-Fuel" engines that were really diesels with "fuel density compensators", and you'd really be surprised some of the things we ran those trucks on when necessary <grin>... But the tractor doesn't have that, and I'm suspicious that there are some other additives missing that could prove potentially detrimental...
