FLUID RECOMMENDATIONS

Enjoyed some great seat time today, dragging out leaf litter and small brush with my rachet rake. Amazing how dirty my tractor gets after a few hours in the dry dirt! I gave it a washdown with the pressure washer before I put it in the shed this evening.

I'm at 10 hrs., and wanted to find out what fluids some of you fellows are using in your tractors. Also, when are you doing your first oil/filter change.
Manual says first filter at 50 hrs, but figured I'd do it around 20-25.
Thoughts?

Well, I'm using Rotella T 15W-40 for engine oil and I think I'll just use Kubota UDT for transmission/hydraulic oil. Near as I can tell UDT should match the LS spec. I changed my oil and filter at 20 hours and plan to do it again at 50 hours. Will probably change my hydraulic filters in the next week --- I'm at about 30 hours now.

Yea I have used the Rotella T 15W-40 and also TSC 15W-40, I asked about the hydraulic oil and they told me that any universal hydraulic oil was fine as long as it was rated for wet breaks of course they really want you to buy there's but they are 45 minutes away one way. I bought the first oil filter and oil and hydraulic filter from the dealer and on the way home I stopped at NAPA and had them cross the filter number and compare the two when they matched I wrote down the NAPA numbers. On the last oil change I used NAPA oil (made by rotella) and the NAPA filter and I just turned 200 hours (that's a milestone for me) and haven't had any problems. If your engine is anything like mine don't get confused by the two sided oil pan, its built that way so the drive shaft can run to the front axle you just have to drain each side to get all of the oil out, it's just weird to look at!
