Fluid leaking out of steering column

I have a 1250 tractor that is leaking fluid from the steering column. It leaks from where the steering wheel attaches to the column. JD says that the parts are no longer available. I am trying to find a way of fixing this. Is there anyone that has any suggestions or ideas on what to do? Or should I just sell it? Thanks

It is true that most of the seals for that steering is not available through JD. My first suggestion would be Weaver's Compact tractor ( Weaver's Compact Tractor Parts & Compact Tractor Salvage )parts in Shippensburg PA. We have had good luck finding obsolete parts from them. Call them at 1-866-950-1050. They have used and new parts for Yanmar built tractors. If that doesn't work out, I would take it apart and go to a good hydraulic supply place and they most likely could match up the seals you need.
