Hello i bought some hyd oil in bulk in 55 gal steel barrel a couple months ago and never got around to changing it in my case ih 75c kind of forgot about it. its winter now and when its cold my tilt up on the loader sticks so im thinking about getting the oil change done. i heat my shop with a propane heater kind of like a salamander heater and it causes alot of moisture. how would i know if there might be water in my new oil? how warm should i get my tractor to change it i only use it for a short time just to put out a couple bales of hay a couple times a week. thanks

The tilt on your loader will probably continue to stick regardless of the fluid age. You may wish to run the tractor long enough to warm the hydraulics just to help the fluid flow out. If your container has not been opened it is highly unlikely to have any water in it. Oil and water don't mix and the water would be at the bottom of the barrel if there was any there as water is more dense than oil. If you did get water in with the new hydraulic fluid what your filter didn't catch would probably evaporate out when the fluid got hot.
