Florida Flywheeler show

We went to the recent Florida Flywheeler's show. For those that don't know, this club has 240 acres, and puts on 3 huge public shows a year. Folks come from all over the country to show their tractors and flywheel engines.

The big red flywheel is the Snow engine- 100 tons and 60' long. The flywheel alone is 12 tons! They run it twice a day during shows. The streamlined tractors are grove tractors, for working the citrus groves. I love the last picture- except for the hats, it could have been taken many years ago.

I love the fairs and especially enjoy the old fly wheel engines.
We only have fairs in the fall but they usually have an old engine display, some times they have an old fly wheel motor set up to an implement from the same era like a corn shucker or a water pump or wood saw.

Ahh the good old days, surprised the EPA still allows them to run.
