What part of Florida are you looking to make your purchase?

Stoner, Do you know what you would like to do with it?, HP Range, Tire type, FEL, 4X4 or 4X2 etc.?? Will you use the tractor for income? A little Info on what you need it for will help decide the brand name. Do you need someone to service the tractor or can you do the repairs yourself?
Deciding what kind of tractor you need...will help you to shop for a dealer.

Where you at? crystal river or more south?
I shop at the local NH dealer, in ocala.. ( Ocala Tractor ).. ( also sells mahindra. )they are generally lower priced than the kubota and jd dealer.. also local.. I also visit the MF/CC/Farmtrac dealer.. he's sun-ray tractor.. generally good at getting you financed.

The NH and JD and MF dealer do have some good deals on used, and lease return units.
If I had to only recomend one.. it would be the NH dealer. I've bought 2 tractrs from him.. a 33hp NH 1920 in 2000.. which i traded on a 2002 NH 7610s last year. ( good experience both times ).

I was looking for a tractor around the 30HP range. I had looked at a Massey Ferguson with 29 HP. I am also looking at the Kubota's and the John Deere's but would certainly entertain any other suggestions. I will be using the tractor with a finish mower and a tiller. I would be using the tractor for mowing just less than 5 acres of yard. I would also use the tractor for planting a spring and summer and fall gardens. Also, I would be using it to plant a few small green fields for deer hunting and planting millet for dove hunting. Open to all suggestions. This would be my first tractor and looking for the most machine for the best dollar. Appreciate any help.

There are a lot of good Kioti dealers in FL. Check them out Kioti's are very well built tractors and should save you some money.

If you are looking for 'bang-for-your-buck' then you mihgt look for a #2 brand.. not a 'big 3' brand.
That would be kioti, mahindra, farmtrac.. etc
Not that they are #2 in quality.. just I usually refer to brands as 1,2,3 big 3 being 1.. 2 being good '2nd market' tractors.. and 3 being economy suppliers.. like chinese units.. and many of the other variants.. etc..
Sounds like you could get away with a mid 20 hp tractor and a 5' finish mower.. something a-la NH TC24/26.. course.. go look at all the brands, drive them.. then let your heart and wallet decide.
In the end... a 'good dealer' will mean more than a few bucks either way.. That is.. I'd pay a tad more to buy from a dealer i had history with, vs an unknown.. etc.

If you want to save money, and are willing to do routine maintenance, and don't mind using your tools and mind to do minor trouble shooting, then you may want to consider the Chinese Tractors.
I've got 130 hours on a little 20-22 hp Jinma, that I bought from Champion Tractors in Pensacola, FL. 850 478 6600. So far so good with my tractor. Talk to Mr Bryant, if you decide to go with the Chinese Tractors. They are about 1/2 price of JD, NH, MF, Mahindra, Kioti, and some others.
I don't think that the Chinese Tractors are as good, but in my opinion, they are the best deal for the money. Make sure that you get 4wd, PS, Canopy, Weight Adjustable Seat(For Sure). If you go with Chinese, just make sure that you change the fluids and flush, as soon as you get the tractor home.
