International 1066 Full sized JCB Loader/Backhoe and a John Deere 430 to mow with
Landpride RC-4015 brand new (buying from someone who bought it, says they never used it....it sat in their barn and by the pictures of it, I'd agree....looks pristine) Aircraft tires, 540 pto, chains.

Asking: $13,900

OR

Schulte FX-1800 Been used, but the pictures make it look like it's in very good shape (very clean but for some surface rust on the blades/pan) Owner says he bought it not realizing it was a 1000 shaft and all his equipment is 540 (Kubota is in distant background (does Kubota even do a 1000 on anything?))
Appears to also have aircraft tires, chains, 1000 pto, has their fancy (forget the name) no slip "clamp" to hook to drawbar. It doesn't use a simple pin. For me, it's a dedicated mower so that's not an issue.

Asking: $12,995

(I'm a bit surprised they didn't add the ".99" on the price, HA!)

Will they negotiate a bit? Don't know yet. I haven't yet found out the typical retail on the Land Pride. Thought I'd see what others think here as I continue to research.

Just noticed the Land Pride does NOT have a stump jumper, the Schulte does.

Kubota does so a 1000 21 spline pto, I have one.

I'd buy the Great Plains myself. Never jumped a stump with mine.

Yep, I have dual PTO on my 9540. Swap the shafts.

I致e mowed with several rotary cutters...3 pth pull type and batwing. I used to mow r o w using 3 pth only. They were H D 3-4 cutting capacity. We used Land pride,Woods,Deere.. I would go with the Land pride.. it痴 new according to ur statement. They are good machines. The Schulte is overrated and over priced. They are like a few other companies... they like their name and paint. I myself will take Woods BB models . I致e tried them . Just my 0.02 CT痴. Have a good 1

I would go with a stump jumper unless your fields are like lawns

A rotary cutter without stump jumpers will have a greater chance of catastrophic gearbox failure than one without.
1000 rpm drive 15’ cutters are easier on drivelines than 540 machines.

The gearbox on my Alamo Grassflex costs around 6000 to replace. I had isues with anthills that would shear off blade bolts so I had a new frame made up for each deck to raise the wheels since they only had minor adjustment with bushings.

My biggest complaint and what I would look for on another unit is BIG wheels. Little wheels on anything don't belong on the land! A Bushhog wing mower had much bigger wheels than the Alamo. If you have all your bushings on the castor shafts and that little wheels goes into a ground hog hole, you are going to bend that castor shaft!

Totally agree!!!! Told the wife, if I ever bought a (presumably new) tractor, I would START by looking at those with large front tires.... that would also get into a larger tractor. I was tired of being bounced around (my backhoe has implement tires on front if I recall their name....sort of "balloon" tires)

None the less....I found something local used in rather nice condition & bought it..... it has little front tires (sigh) (the 1066)

Well...the Schulte was gone by the time we got to speaking on the phone. He said he was in his truck as we spoke, bringing back his new mower!

None the less.... just found a John Deere HX-15. I've never looked at the brand specifically.

I trust the world won't come to an end if I pull it behind an International!!!!

Not knowing if JD makes their own mowers or someone else makes them, how would you rate the HX-15? How would it compare to Woods, BH, Schulte, other??

Just now sent the seller an email but he likely won't get it until Monday (think it's a farm equipment business). (asking price is $10,000)
