Tires Flat Tire on my TC40D

Went down to the barn yesterday morning and found "my baby" down on one knee. That's right!.....A flat front tire.....and I've got R1 Ag's! Raised her up with the bucket, took the tire off, and headed out to Tire King. The diagnosis.....a THORN!
One plug later and we are back on the road. In all my years I've never lost one to a thorn. What next....snake bite?

That's just because you're in the wrong part of the country. Flats from Mesquite thorns in tires are quite common in my part of the country. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Been there with an R-4 ... twice...in New England no less !

You are exactly right about the mesquite thorns, Bird. I have four new tires on my Ford Jubilee because I took it to my Dad's place where there was a lot of mesquite. I got so many thorns that even with new tubes the hidden thorns would cause a flat within a week. After I sold that property, I just went out and bought four new tires and filled the front ones with foam. So far, no more flats. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
