Kioti LB1914
I'am a new Kioti owner,(1st tractor) bought it at an auction, I've called my closest dealer and his guess is a 1995 or 2005. I have a LB 1914 with 84 hours on it, seems in good shape but the serial #504000306 which my guess would be a 1995, is it possible to only have 84 hrs. with it being 11 years old? or do you think the meters been replaced, what could I look for ? I paid $6,400. with front loader and turf tires, good deal or not ? Thanks :)

If it is blue framed it is the older model.
Grey frame was started around 1999, depending on what was in dealer stock etc.
Also in 95 power steering wasn't available or was an option one or the other.
For reference Kioti has a special on the LB1914.
Tractor and loader for $9995 with a 4 yr warranty.
For some saving $3595 would make it worth it to others they would pay the extra.
All that matters is that you like it, and it does what you need it to.
Parts are no problem.

Thanks for the info. what do you think about the low hours (85 hrs.) for an 11 yr old tractor ? Is it possible or was the meter tampered with ? thanks again.

Of course it is possible to only have 84 hours. Sitting on the sales lot, then in a garage. Most estate auctions around here are filled with items from a dead guy's garage. Who knows how long he'd been dead before the kids finally agreed on how to split up his estate.

Also, hour meters even on new machines seem to be unreliable. You'll find out soon enough if it works.

I would of course recommend the full course of fluid and filter changes. Assume the PO did not do the 50 hour service.

When it comes to hrs pretty much anythings possible.
It may be original, could be the tach cable broke at 30 and wasn't repaired until years later.
It's just hard to tell.
It's much better to go on overall condition instead of hrs.

This is pretty subjective and won't always hold true, but it seems you could estimate whether the hours are right by looking at details such as:
Is the paint worn off the pedals or anywhere on the operator's platform, or if rubber, are the edges worn down?
Are the 3 pt arms really dinged up?
"Excessive" amounts of dirty grease?
Do any knobs have those shiny worn areas?
How does it "feel"?
It just seems to me there are usually some pretty significant indicators of whether the machine has 84 or 584 or 2084 hours on it, but YMMV.

The first year for the LB1914 was 1991.
Before that it was the LB1714, but was basically the exact same tractor.

Thanks guys, I think I'am on the right track for year and hours, it has the blue frame, power steering, the paint is chipped in spots but nothing seems worn, just can't believe 84hrs. in 11yrs. I'll be able to rack that up in half a year, thanks again for all your help, I'll be back for more info, when my owners manual comes in the mail.
