Hi, new here and am buying my first tractor soon I have shopped around and came across a used 2000 yr. B2710 Kubota. I was qouted 11,000 for it and it has these features/options on it 650HRS. Front loader with 60'" bucket, 4wd, HST Trans, Mid and Rear PTO, Industrial type tires, and will be fitted with a 54" rear mount Puma Snowblower Manual Shute. The tractors a 8 out of 10 condition wise this price is in NY/PA area sound decent? Also my biggest job for this machine is snow removal of lots of lake effect snow, Im in the Tug Hill NY region and we get big falls at once and of course Im not home weekdays so I always need to dig my way in to 1-4 foot depths by weekend, will this tractor/blower combo handle that much snow? Thanks for any advice!!

You could run a 60" blower with it if you have a choice. On the new models they run up to a 72" wide. In that type of snow it is highly recommended to blow the snow!

You only move it once!

I really dont know much on the tractor blower set-up requirements, but I tought the 54" they offered me (used) was a little to narrow for a 2710 model as I think the tire width is over 54". I asked several times the salesmen but he just kept putting off a answer. I also came across a B7500 model from a closer dealer today and its newer and has a loader,hsd,mid/rear pto,4wd but no blower for only 8500.00 and is mint condition. I see its 21hp vs 27 of the 2710, but the price and condition have me thinking it may be a better buy. Then just buy the used Puma 54" blower of the other dealer for it. What to do? Is there a big difference from one vs the other to justify the 2000.00 extra cost?

The 2710 has more wheelbase. It all depends on what you want to do with the tractor. If snowblowing, and yard maintenance with some mowing are your goal, the B7500 will be fine. It will have no problem with the 54" blower. Personally , i like the B2710 but i'd get a 60" blower for it. You are right, the 54 is a bit narrow for the 2710. What are your intended uses besides some snow removal?

Looking at the size of your property you could have use for either tractor, but the final call should be made after considering other uses besides snow blowing. If you want to do a major landscape job on 2-3 acres get the larger machine. If most of the heavy work is finished and just looking to maintain your land the 7500 will fit the bill. I have a B7510 that is the same as the 7500 with some newer stuff. I use it on 10 acres and it does things very nicely. I yard out firewood, plow snow, mow 2 acres, take care of large compost pile, haul wood pellets, move 2200# boat when needed just to mention a few things. Could I use a 27 or 30 hp tractor? Sure I could. Could I justify the extra $4000-5000 for an upgrade? No way. I can get everything done just a little slower.

ps: you can't go wrong with either one. They have the same fun-factor
