I saw my first robins of the year down between Albion and South China yesterday. It was a flock of 5-6 in sumac by the dirt road I was on. I saw them there last year about this time. We still have about 5 inches of snow on the ground, but the temps are in the 30's and low 40's. It was snowing at the time, but alternating with drizzle and rain. This last storm did not produce much in the way of snow, but it is melting now. I also saw about 8 young turkeys crossing the road a little further back. The robins were a treat, along with the cardinal singing at my house, 70 miles north. Spring is fast approaching here in Maine. Ducks are getting into the rivers - black ducks- and there was a red breasted merganser by itself along the way.

Don't know where the robins are; but I spaded up part of the garden and planted 10 bunches of green onions today. That's a sure sign of Spring. Got some Bluebird houses that I need to get put up; hope it's not too late.

Many species of birds have started reappearing here as well. I'm sick of winter and wish spring would hurry up and get here.

Haven't seen any Robins yet but ducks and geese have been perusing the pond.

I'm not surprised they've made it to you. We had them the first week of February here in the upper south.

We have a few Robins all Winter, but more have shown up recently! I've seen a couple flocks of Meadowlarks recently too. Wife took this mid-February about a mile from home, they flew over regularly

We've also had a half dozen Whooping Cranes around the last couple of days!

Foot of snow on the ground now! :(

For me, Spring's here when the Red wing Blackbirds show up! ~~ grnspot

That is quite some photo! We don't get those around here. The meadowlarks make it here and are nice to listen to- still awhile yet. But redwings should be arriving in the next couple of weeks. Snowing and raining today, but still in the 30's. Spring is on the way.
