Last week we had a new Boomer 25, HST, with NH FEL and 60in NH Belly mower delivered and I thought I'd offer my first impressions. We had just had 25 tons of 3/4 inch, clean driveway gravel, 10 tons of 'Mushroom' soil and 5 tons of Cedar mulch delivered, so the test was ready. I could have used my NH TC40D, HST to move and drop some of this stuff but lots of it was delivered into tight garden and fenced areas so the little Boomie was ideal!
Comfort is relative but all in all, the little guy was fine although I wish it had the separate forward and reverse pedals like it's bigger sibling.
The Joystick for the loader was to close to my right leg and said leg would hit it at times and change the bucket angle.
Most of the controls were too close to my generous thighs and I had to look carefully to use them.
The all electronic/ digital dash is nice.
The thing 'rides' good for what it is.
The belly mower raises and lowers easily and the PTO clutch works almost silently, even at idle speed, with no 'bogging down.'
The seat could be back maybe a few inches for my comfort.
Everything on the Boomie or Mini-Me as we call it worked very well.
The 27 horsepower, 3 cyl Mitsubishi is healthy sounding and really has very good power.
The loader filled easily although it took 4WD sometimes to penetrate the aforementioned loads of stuff.
The mower worked as well as my Professional 61'' ZTR but not as quickly.
The size is perfect for tight places around the home or farm where a larger tractor would be cumbersome.
It looks "Cute" parked next to the TC40D according to my wife.
All in all we are very happy with our new purchase.
