First oil change BX2670 - takes more oil than manual indicates

Just did my 50 hour service and went fine. However, the manual calls for 3.5 liters of engine oil including oil in the filter and it seems to still want more. I added the 3.5 (measured) and it was still closer to the low mark than the high mark on the dip stick. Manual says to fill up to the top mark. I don't want to over fill though since I have probably already added about 3.75 liters (added a little more). What would you folks do, fill to the top mark or leave as is? I am guessing I am going to be closer to 4.5 liters if I fill to the top mark and it seems to me this would be quite far out of manual spec for a new tractor.

I'd run it for 10 minutes, let it sit to drain back down, and then see what it sez. Seems weird to me, but stuff happens.

Ditto on the run it suggestion. I did mine 2 weeks ago and it used most of a one gallon jug, so right about 3.5 liters. I think our engines are the same.

I did mine also a few months back and used Rotella T-6 5w-40 and the gallon jug was almost empty when I finally got the oil to the full mark on the dipstick, I used a Kubota oil filter also.Could be the oil companys skimming an ounce or two from the jugs when they are filling them knowing we would never know:confused3:

I did run for a bit and it is still low. Good to know that others have experienced the same issue. I did use the kubota filter as well. I will top up to the add mark in the morning. Thanks everyone!
