Mow was very good, very quick with 72" deck. Sloped area in front is now no issue wit the super wide footprint Galaxy Super turfs. Have not tried the steeper slopes in back yet, but that issue may be going away as I might pick up a used walk behind with a 48" deck;) to do that area. Dunno yet, still thinking on it.

Tractor was very quick and nimble without the loader on it. With loader it seems to be a bit sluggish (300cx).

Super Turfs made noticeable temporary tracks across the grass, where I did not cut, but I did not cut the entire lawn as there are some patches I am working on. In the areas where I cur the tracks were not visible.:D Seems like a good combo, my lawn, and this tractor.

It's a lot easier on the tractor if the loader is off (less wear on the front axle). Also, all the extra weight removed lowers the Center of Gravity. And, of course, without the bucket, it's less likely you'll clip the house or any other object.
Even just dropping the bucket off (if you have a QA bucket) makes mowing easier.

Those 4310 Deeres are fine tractors, Nuru!

Roy I have always removed my loader when I mow the yard. Guess I had not thought about just removing the bucket. I may try that. Thanks for the light bulb.

Thanks Roy, I never though about removing the buck either. dunno if it would make a big difference but I dunno, I might want to try that out.

I norrmally leave the loader off most of the mowing season unless I'm brush cutting or have a specific task for it.
Last year I figured I was done mowing, so had the loader installed for the winter. It turned out I did need to mow one more time. So, figured I'd try it without the bucket (leaving the loader installed). That was the first time I removed the bucket.
Mowing was a lot easier and more comfortable, let me tell you!
I never did it before since I thought it would be as big a pain re-installing as rigging a cutter (on the 3PH) can be...but it's not.
And, once you drop the bucket (30 second job from getting off the seat to backing away from the bucket), grab that bucket and give it a shake. That's a heck of a lot of weight...just the bucket.

Roy, I can move the bucket around and yes it is heavy, but those loader arms are very heavy and do nto like to move. But then again I did have the bucket on when i tried to move them. I got to try an experiment with the bucket off and then the entire loader off.
