Hi Folks,

Have been reading with interest some of the recent posts re rotary cutters, as I am planning to buy a 6 ft cutter, possibly with the ability to be offset. I have a small orchard and I would like to be able to cut about 18 inches past the width of the tractor to avoid damaging the trees. I came across a couple of references to a brand called First Choice. I searched for a company website but did not find it (it it exists). Does anyone know if they have a web site and if so what it is?

Mike

That was a tough one to find, but I did find it. I'll try again, I've cleared my history. Any other brands to look at other than all the obvious ones mentioned here?

Thomas, it's still iced in, about 36 degrees. Fishing season opened yesterday and there is more open water than usual but it should all be gone in a week or two. Then all the Flatlanders will invade (sorry, couldn't help it).

First Choice has established it's headquarters in NC about 50 miles north of our store location. It is my understanding that they will develop a website in the future but right now their main focus is keeping overhead and product pricing as low as possible.

After close inspection and test of tillers and finishing mowers, we added the line recently and have had nothing but excellent reports on quality vs value.

As with WR Long, we'll try to post all the First Choice info very soon at our site and introduce the product line with special package offers within 3 weeks for all the COLORS.
Sale_mail subscribers will get first shot at the introductory offers.

We'll offer a wide range of implements but FIRST CHOICE does not have ROTARY CUTTERS - Brush Cutters.

We'll have First Choice tillers, finishing mowers, boxes and rear scraper blade, a really nice core aerator - that's affordable, rakes, and more.

Good news. the paint is the best quality we seen from anyone and ... We can Offer Orange, Blue, Red, Green items and packages to suit your favorite brand.

Thanks

Actually, you're both right. At the time Steve wrote his response, we were still testing and developing our prototypes. We finished fixturing and testing shortly after.

We will begin shipping standard duty 52", 60" and 72" cutters as well as a heavy duty 60", 72" and 84" series the first week of August. (We ran into some start up component supply problems delaying first shipments. We could have shipped earlier, with cheaper components but didn't feel this was the right way to do business.)

As with our ground engaging equipment, all cutters are supplied with choice of powder paint finishes color matched to popular tractor makes, grade 5 plated hardware throughout, and the attention to detail TBN'ers have come to expect from us.

Pictures are on the web site and I should have specs up in the next day or so. For a better look, you can get a sneak peek at the Louisville Outdoor Power Equipment Expo next week along with another surprise and the rest of our line.

We appreciate your patience awaiting the release of our cutters and look forward to the first reviews.

I'm still hoping to be "the first kid on my block to have one." /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I'm not sure my dealer even knew of the new release/ship date (or at least didn't 'share'). Dealer's drop ship orders do get priority, don't they? /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif
