finish mower compatibility

I'm looking at a Yanmar 48" finish mower model YOM48 serial- 274
Can anyone tell me if it'll fit my 2210D? It was on a smaller machine; it attaches to the 3 point hitch, yet is a belly mower.........didn't know they made such a thing

It should fit. It probably will require a new belt. The old one may not be the right length for your tractor.

Thanks! The guy selling it wants $500. Seems a little high to me (for a 48" deck), but I love the idea of a belly mounted mower only two inches wider than the tractor. I do have some tight areas to mow that would be tougher to get to pulling a mower.............

The YQM mower comes off & on quickly, which is a nice feature. $500 is a reasonable price for that mower. They are no longer available new.

Len: I now realize the price is good; I didn't understand that belly mowers were that much more expensive than tow-behind 3 pt. mowers. Before I make a deal with this guy, how certain are you as to the mower working on my tractor? I realize there are no guarantees, just looking for a little reassurance

No, it runs off the 3 pt. hitch, and is belt driven! New to me too......

In your location it doesn't get much softer or sandy soil than that. So you should be able to leave it attached. It has been posted that having to remove and install it can be troublesome. I have family in CT. and been out to Rodmans Hollow I believe as a kid Yrs. ago :thumbsup:

We live very close to Rodman's hollow!! Funny you should remember that, and not the beach, or something else. Block Island sure is a beautiful place, windy though.......

Sorry about that I believe I mentioned I lived in the NE. on your Trailering post. Still have some memory problems but seem to be getting better :ashamed: I use to live in Md. and have family thats old money in New Haven. Never was much on sails. We kept a Chaparral in the late 60's and early 70's. I may have been 10 when they finaly sold it and moved to Ga. Been a few, I may have been 5. when we was out there.

If the mower fits between the wheels, it should work.The tube that goes from the 3 point to the mower should be adjustable for different tractors.
