Well it finally happened. At 67 hours I believe I broke a rod in the motor. The engine sounds like it's being hit by a hammer. Although my neighbor thinks I just lost a glow plug. (Hope he's right!)All I was doing was filling in a hole too! It's been 12 hours since the oil change. And there was no signs in the oil of any issue. I did stall the motor once around 20 hours or so. Don't know if that bothers a diesel or not. Other than that I can't think of anything I did to it other than work it. But it is under warranty yet so this is that oppertunity to see how good a Farmtrac warranty is! Unfortunately. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Sent an email to the dealer last night. Will follow with a phone call this morning and take it from there. The unit is a 360TLB. Well I'll keep you all informed. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Let us know how it goes, and what the problem was..
Stalling the motor did not cause any harm . I stall them out all the time.

Sorry to hear about that. Very unusual for one of those diesel engines. I have heard good things about the Farmtrac warranty from our local Farmtrac dealer here. He claims in the 5 years of selling Farmtracs not one person has had to pay for any repair. Last year he was the #1 selling dealer in the US according to him and his advertisement. Sold over 100 units last year alone. Local farmers around here really like those Farmtrac's. I'm sure you won't have any problems.

Well the warranty is good as was hoped! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I called them at 8:30am and they had a service man at my house by 1:30pm. Turned out to be a stuck injector. When he fired it back up it sounded fine! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif He mentioned that once in a great while this happens. All you need to do is shut it down, Go get a coffee, Come back about 10 minutes later and fire it up. Usually the injector will "Un stick" when the system repressurizes. I know the warranty is good for the parts. I was more concerned about the service. I even called one time to ask them to order a lever for the Quick release o the loader. I broke it somehow and wanted to get it replaced before I needed it! Not only did it get replaced but at no charge. Even though it was my fault. That's a good warranty to me! I wish GM had that sort of deal! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
My tractor is also my stress reliever. There is nothing better than coming home from work. Grabbing the key! And going out and digging a hole or something. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
So all said and done. My local Farmtrac dealer gets an A+ for this issue. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I just bought a 270DTC and had one of the sway chains for the 3PH bend and break. From what I have been able to find out is this was probably from me not tightening the sway chains when using the BB. Well the dealer replaced the sway chain under warrantee. When I got the new part home I noticed the new one was beefier than the old one. I called the dealer back up and talked with the owner this time. He looked into the situation and told me that the new one is the one that should be on there and is ordering me a replacement for the other side also. Both parts will be covered under warrantee. I also had some problems with the tires he loaded but he fixed those for no charge. So far I have really liked my Farmtrac. I am so glad I made the choice of the Farmtrac with a shuttle drive over the NH TC30 with the straight gear drive.

Sounds like everything I have heard is true about Farmtrac service. Glad to hear everything is ok. Hard to believe that the engine had a problem. I'm glad it was something small. Keep us informed on any other issues. Good luck to you.

Glad to hear it all worked out for you and your up and running again in a short time. Also, thanks for replying back with the cause of the problem. It's always good to have a heads up on these kind of things. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
