Massey Ferguson 1643 & Allis-Chalmers D14
Well after months (and I do mean months...order was placed on February 26, 2010), my new MF1643 arrived yesterday. Let me tell you, it was worth the wait! Unfortunately, its debut was spoiled by rain, so I was only able to drive it from the yard to the garage, but I hope to get plenty of seat time in the very near future.

WOW! Nice looking tractor, I've been waiting for three weeks for my area dealer to just get one on the lot for me to look at, now I know it's likely going to take a little longer.:(

Enjoy it, look forward to seeing pictures of you putting it to work!

Just my bad luck I guess. Seriously, from what I've been told by multilple dealers (all brands) is that last year was VERY slow for tractor sales and it was forecast that this year would be the same, so all manufacturers ramped down production and told their suppliers to do the same. Well, turns out sales were very high this year, so all the major manufacturers are scrambling to produce as many tractors as they can with limited parts. I looked into ordering a Deere instead and it was a minimum two to three month wait for one there too. The Deere dealer was told by corporate several months ago that they were not allowed to order demo models, cause the factor was doing everything they could just to meet customer demand.

Absolutely! Its a great tractor. I've been a HUGE John Deere fan my whole life, so it was really, REALLY hard for me to buy anything but a Deere, but when I looked at what each tractor had to offer without the green lens, the MF won hands down.
