Well we finally sold our old MF 40 industrial,got less than we wanted but more than the dealer would offer in trade.
At the same time we were advertising the tractor,I had my truck up for trade on a tractor...of course as soon as the MF sold I have someone wanting to trade...
The person in question has a 1428 4wd,gear transmission,400-ish hours,loader,good tires,he puts it's value at $8500.
I think he wants to do a straight trade which would be fine with me.
What do people think of the 1428?
Would it work out well for us?
We have 17 somewhat hilly acres,most in overgrown pines that need thinning but some cleared areas.Also have a 1/4 mile long gravel drive to keep up.
Would like to cut trails down the hill to the little streams at the bottom,clear out the bottom land next to the big creek,and generally try and get this place looking more like a 'farm' than a wild and overgrown mess...
Would also like to dig a small pond(50' round??),but will probably hire it out/rent a backhoe if that project ever happens.
Thoughts?
