I believe I have had the hydraulic lines going to my backhoe backwards for sometime on my GC 2610. I posted a while back that my 3pt valve went bad and when it was replaced, the mechanic changed around the hookups, telling me they were wrong. After this valve was replaced and hookups changed, my tractor did not seem to have as much "digging" power, often causing a squalling sound. (I couldn't raise my mower deck with the backhoe on) I have suspected for sometime that something wasn't right, so I finally had time to look around at other GC's at dealers lots. What I found was shocking, I have seen three different combinations. Long story short, here is the right way: The power beyond comes off the bottom port of the loader valve, to the right hand side of the backhoe valve body (while setting in the seat looking at the backhoe) The line coming outside the backhoe housing is the "dump" and should go to the rear end. The last line is the return to the auxillary hydraulic block and should the one in the rear. The line on the front of the auxillary hydraulic block should go to the top port on the loader valve. Sorry for the long post, but if anyone has any questions, just ask.
