Finally!!! Today I put a few hours on my (new to me) 3320 tractor and markham root rake grapple. I hurt my back which resulted in back surgury and a "lay-low" period shortly after buying my tractor back in August. Then too, I had to haul my tractor to my land about 200 miles away....which I just got accomplished.

So......we just had a MAJOR wind storm....which downed a bunch of trees over my food plots and trails....maybe 25 or so big 'uns and a buncha limbs and branches. Perfect work for my new tractor and grapple. Even tho the weather was lousy (lite rain and windy) I had a good time grabbing those trees and manhandeling em to a different location. My new rig made short work out of an otherwise ugly job.

Comparing to my old 790 and 70 loader....this 3320 tractor w/ 300 cx loader seems to add another 1/3 or more to the capabilities. I especially like the increased weight, clearance, and stronger hydraulics. I picked up a few pretty big (16" diameter) jackpines and flipped 'em about pretty easily. I broke a few big trees in half by pushing em between two others...snapping em like toothpicks. :D

It felt good to finally be "back in the saddle again"......and I know I found the right "new" tractor for my purposes. (I think you always have doubts till you operate your new toys for a while )

Congrats, glad to have you back in the saddle. But, where are the pictures?

Hey foggy, glad you're back on your feet again and getting some serious work done with your new tractor! I've been fortunate to not have back trouble but have known plenty of people that have. It's no quick & easy thing to get over so take it easy and do what the doc says! Good luck with the 3320, and good luck with the deer hunting!

Hmmm.....my wife took a few pics of the new tractor....but they are out in the car. Maybe tommorow. How about a buck from my trail cam today? (I know....the date is wrong) Thanks for the well-wishes!! :)

Foggy - good to hear you are up and running again. Your new 3320 may have been parked but was in action in another way - served as the visual "model" (nice legs err loader arms:))to get my grapple JDQA situation straightened out for the grapple (which I am not sure what I did without it by the way!)

OK....I promissed some pics of my 3320 in action.....and I cant deliver....cause my wife took the pic when the grapple was empty.

Heres the tractor anyway....during a clean-up after a mega wind storm we had Tuesday. I know how some of you "southern boys" like to see our 1st snowfall of the season. ;) Our rifle season starts in a week....so I needed to get my trails passable from the down trees.

Also a pic of the golf cart we use to bring our hunters to stands such as that shown behind the cart. These stands have small propane heaters, drop down windows, and a swivel office chair (we rough-it around here ).

The golf cart allows us to enter and leave the property without putting down allot of scent or making much noise......and it beats walking when its raining or snowing.

My food plots consist of a mix of brassicas, rye grains, and clover. Most of my trails are in white clover.

What is that white stuff on the ground?? And why is your wife all bundled up in a coat and toboggan?? It's 70 degree's here as I type this at 8:45pm!!! I'm thinking about going out for a walk in shorts and tshirt in a few minutes.

That's a nice pic of the tractor, sort of makes me JD green with envy. That was a nice buck in the picture from the trailcam too. Good luck chasing after him. Yep, your "condo's" are built for the "soft" hunting crowd lol. When ya'll gonna put tv's with cable in them?? :D

I've been out hunting several times here already and have seen a few deer but none with antlers as yet. Maybe this coming Saturday morning will change my luck.

We just sprinkle that white stuff on the ground to get some contrast for our pictures. ;) My wife is actually putting three propane tanks in each stand and checking to be sure the heaters are operational and the carpeting is not too wet from the storm.

We like to show snow pics from up here in MN....we feel it puts the fear into folks....and keeps out the riff-raff.:laughing: (In truth, I cant wait for Jan to escape the cold for a few weeks ;) )

We do have a few traditional hang-on and ladder stands. And...I have gotten into such a stand in the dark and left in the dark at the end of a long day. Now, with these heated box blinds.....I cant get anyone to sit in the old tree stands anymore (including myself). We truly are getting soft.
